Perimeter Project
MARIA VEGA
Maria Vega is a Mexican-born, Toronto-based interior designer and photographer who has focused on documentary and artistic work for the past 10 years. She centres her work on storytelling through images. In recent months she has collaborated with various organizations such as MUSE Arts, North York Arts, and CreateTO documenting their development of various programs and cultural events. Most of these projects focused on sharing and involving art in the community. Recently she has been a facilitator for youth photography programs, run by MUSE Arts, and was part of Re-Vuelta facilitation camp, run by ImaginARTE. The photo she submitted for the Perimeter Project represents "the greatness of a person with a big heart and a sincere smile. Regardless of your situation, you can always choose kindness and empathy as key values to connect with others."
