Painted Path

JIEUN JUNE KIM

Jieun June Kim is a painter, muralist, and illustrator and northwest Toronto local. She is an artist-in-residence of STEPS’ CreateSpace BIPOC Public Art Residency. June was the first artist to contribute to the XOXO Painted Path. She painted a tiger because tigers are revered as guardians and divine spirits and symbolize courage and power in Korean folklore and myth. Our tiger is meant to bring good energy to the park.
